Windows Perfmon Cube

The Perfmon Cube is a good example of how everyone can benefit from OLAP.  The Perfmon Cube gets its data from Windows Performance Monitor and allows you to slice and dice your Windows performance counters close to real time.   The cube is relatively simple with 3 dimensions and 4 measures.  You can see the Perfmon cube in action on this site from Demonstrations just follow the Perfmon links.  Note; we have the cube updated every 5 minutes, but it could be more or less frequent, even real-time  This cube is continually updating with fresh data.  

Here is a taste of the information in this cube.  It shows the average Working Set (memory) for all processes on the this web server.  See further below for a picture of the cube’s VS solution.
